Endangered Species

Global Pollution hurts nature in many ways. For example manatees, coral reef ,pandas, wolfs, penguins, rhinos, cheetahs, zebras, crocodiles, tigers, cougars, elephants, bald eagles and many other animals are endangered because of pollution and because people are killing them. Penguins are dying because of oil spills.

Ozone

Pollution is very bad for the ozone.  It is making the ozone layer thinner and thinner and the sun is getting through stronger and stronger. Which is why we do not get much rain anymore and why it is getting hotter and hotter. In the summer it is a lot hotter than the year before. Things like spray deodorant can damage the ozone, and if there was no ozone it would be hard to go outside.

What might happen if we keep Polluting

If we keep polluting every day we would probably get sick very easily because of how dirty the air is. Pollution as I said does not only effect us it also effects animals. If we keep polluting, animals will start to die off faster, because the air is polluting the plants that the herbivores eat. The herbivores will die leaving no food for the carnivores. So pollution is destroying the food chain. Many people are trying to stop other people from polluting. But it is pretty hard to stop every person in the world from polluting. Some people pollute without knowing. Like when you drop your garbage by accident and do not realize it. Even if only one person does not pollute it still makes a difference. The government is also trying to stop pollution. It is called Global Warning.

Car Pollution

Look at your backyard with snow in it. Now compare it to the side of the road. The snow in your backyard is probably a lot cleaner than the snow on the side of the road.  That's because of car pollution. Some cars pollute more than others. Such as trucks. Trucks pollute more because of their size. In the summer it would be better to walk or ride your bike instead of driving everywhere. If you stop driving it will help our community become a better, safer and healthier place.

A pollution poem

Polluting is bad,

It makes the world sad
